Well...its almost 2 AM now, and my room mate is still on the phone with his mom. While I'd rather not delve into the issue here, he is in trouble, and they are having this long discussion about it. Ok. Fine. This started at about 10 PM....I WANT TO FREAKING SLEEP ALREADY! I'd feel bad just saying I gotta sleep. Especially since they are still sorta yelling at each other. But COME ON. I have class in 7 hours. Ugh, anyways.
My last day of class is tomorrow. I'm a little sad to tell the truth, or at least I'm sad to be giving up my relative independence once I move back in at home. Oh well, next year I get a single room and all the independence I could want and then some. Like going to bed whenever i want -.-
FINALLY. they just hung up. Bed time.
This weekend has been incredibly good, considering how much work I had looming over me most of the time. I spent all weekend, from Friday afternoon until about 3 PM today with Lauren, and I think it has done me a great deal of good. Its not that we even did all the much other than lounge about in her room, make macaroni and cheese, and watch Dracula, but spending time with her is the most therapeutic thing for my mind I have ever encountered. There is just something soothing about knowing that you're with someone who is the extension of yourself, that always knows exactly what you mean, because where you leave off, they pick up. Sometimes we bicker and get grumpy, but thats fine, because we can be grumpy around each other and not end up hating each other for it.
Its a good thing I got to spend this weekend relaxing too, because my next week is going to be rather taxing with a Chemistry, Communications, and Computer Science final all within seven days, but the good news is I move out on the 8th, and I'll be home free for the next 3 and a half months. Even with all this crap facing me, I don't even feel daunted though. Thats just the kind of mood she puts me in. Its all worth it, because I'll get to see her again before too long. Lol, I sound incredibly mushy tonight, but its whatever, I'm tired and if you don't like it, thats too bad.
Well, now that the freaking drink machine has stlen my 65 cents and denied me my soda, I think I'm going to go to bed. Too much pizza has made me a bit nauseated, and it is definitely bed time.
What have you lost that you wish you still had?

You know, when people don't know things, that doesn't bother me. Even when they have NO EXCUSE for not knowing something, I don't get too bothered by it. What I absolutely can't stand, are people who don't know something and therefore YOU are wrong, because they couldn't possibly be incorrect in their assumptions (as vaguely gathered as they may be). I just got finished dealing with such a person, and this post is necessary lest I explode.
So, yesterday afternoon, I was sitting around talking with Amber about how ridiculous some people's expectations are of the Tech staff here. We get complaints about "overly noisy fans" that *shock* sound LIKE A FAN. Fans are meant to sound like fans. And there isn't a blasted thing we can do about it. Similarly, Amber was working on some girl's computer (coated in bumper stickers which I will have to either peel off or replace the bezel in a year when she turns it in) with complaints about it taking too long to start up. Well, this doesn't seem like too big an issue, could very well be a hard drive going bad. Just to see the problem, we start her computer up to see how long it actually takes to boot. It booted ok, but was stalling on the desktop, we were concerned, until we realized she had set EVERY MESSENGER CLIENT KNOWN TO MAN (and perhaps a few known only to cats) to start on booting into Windows. I think it took 5 minutes before we could even touch her desktop. After giving me a look that says "I think I'd like to kill this person now." Amber reloads the machine just so any software foul-ups would be removed from the load (This doesn't change the fact that booting creates a pop-up hailstorm), tests the Harddrive, and sends it back to her and explains that it takes time to boot when you try to run these things. I even offered to help her fix it so they wouldn't pop up on booting. She denies this offer, claiming that "Oh, no, I think the reload fixed it. That usually fixes my friend's computers." I shrugged to myself and let her go her merry way. Her problem right? Wrong. Today, roughly 45 minutes ago now, Chris comes in asking me what we generally do about slow load times, as everyone but the student workers were in a staff meeting until 4. I told him we normally do a reload and test the Hard drive. I guess she heard it was me in here, so she comes running in here, half yelling "Why isn't this FIXED!? I walked ALL the way out here to get it fixed, but you guys didn't help it at all! How many times do I have to come out here before I get my computer fixed!" I gave her the nicest look I could muster at the time, which wasn't a very good one, considering I was technically on break eating my delicious chips, "Well, If you would like, we can take your computer back and run our diagnostics again to see if anything comes up. Sometimes a bad hard drive can be missed the first time through, but I honestly don't think its going to do much good. A computer can only do so much at once (technically it can only do two things at once with our processor chip, but I wasn't going to bother with specifics) and you are making it work very hard to boot up by having all these programs start up at the beginning." So yeah, she finally let us have it, looking very indignant and completely justified in her actions. Amber just got back from the staff meeting, and she spewed every vile curse I had been forced to keep to myself during the ordeal. People are dumb. Dumb people are even more dumb. But dumb people who don't know it, those are worst of all. I expect to hear from this same person again tomorrow, and I expect Aubrey to go out there and make her feel like a complete dumb-ass.
Anyways, wow, I've been writing this for an hour now....lol...considering how little work i do, this job is definitely worth its minor setbacks.
I would consider buying this game for this song alone. Luckily, the game is amazing, so I won't have to have that internal debate.
